Please fill out the form on the contact page or email me at sarah(at)parrottdesignstudio.com to start. Once I receive your inquiry or email, I will respond with the next steps and answer any questions you may have.

Getting to know you

Your design starts with a piece of paper & our correspondence via email, a phone call, or a meeting. Design is done to your specifications only. I find it most helpful for you to tell me about your special occasion: Where is your wedding located? Is there a certain color or theme? What are your flowers? My goal is to create the perfect invitation suite for your occasion, so the more details you would like to share the better. You may send me pictures that inspire you, pictures of your dress or your bridesmaid dresses, flowers, your decor, or the always popular inspiration board. If you would like me to create an inspiration board for you with photos you have collected, I would love to help. I will work with whatever you provide. Once we figure out what suits your design needs best, a price quote is prepared based on your project requirements.

Contract and Deposit

After our consultation, I will create a quote for you based on the initial design ideas, materials, and the amount and pieces needed. I will send you the contract, quote, and a timeline for design and printing. Please review everything carefully and let me know if you would like to make any changes. I require a signed contract and a 50% deposit to begin the design process.

The Design Process

Once we are ready to begin the design process you will provide any wording for each piece within your suite. If you need assistance with wording, I will gladly help. Within 3 to 5 weeks, I will provide 3 to 5 design options via PDF including the color options, materials, printing methods for each piece. You will have the opportunity to provide feedback and identify any changes you would like to make. Four rounds of revisions are included with your order. Additional rounds are $50 per proof.

Final Proof and Approval

I will provide you one final PDF proof. You will review and confirm that every last detail is perfect - the layout, colors, typestyle, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Double check all dates, names, titles, addresses, email addresses, website addresses, phone numbers, and any other pertinent information is correct. I require your signature on the final proof and the remaining 50% paid in full.

Please understand upon approval of your final quote you accept responsibility for the design & typographical elements of your invitations, which includes any errors so it really important for you to proofread each piece. I recommend that you print each piece on your home printer and have another person read each piece as well. Parrott Design Studio is not responsible for the costs associated with reprinting & shipping orders due to errors approved by you. Creating your dream wedding invitation is shared by you & me. While I will always do my best to lend an extra set of eyes, I am the designer & printer, not the editor {simply put, I am only human}. If errors are discovered after proof approval, I will reprint but I must charge.

Printing

Once your final balance and proof approval signature is received, I will schedule your press date. Depending on the complexity of your project, printing and production may take 3 to 4 weeks. I ship via United States Postal Service Priority mail with tracking and insurance. Once your order is ready to ship, we will send you the tracking number. All packages ship from Providence, Rhode Island. I can ship via FedEX or UPS as well, just let me know. All international clients are responsible for customs or import duties.
